(Hillsborough, NJ) --
Lump'N'Loaf Records is proud to announce the signing of A Halo Called Fred to the label's stable of unique New Jersey musical acts. Always on the lookout for fresh talent, L'N'L has found itself intrigued over the years by the irreverent, conceptual "happy folk" of Halo, having seen the acoustic-based quartet often share the stage with L'N'L acts over the years and appear on a number of the label's cd compilations.
As Halo's Geverend Dee explained, "After a decades-long unofficial partnership, we are very happy that Lump'N'Loaf has managed to make an honest Halo out of us. As we hurtle forward toward the Golden Circle of Floating Perfection, we are thrilled to pull Lump'N'Loaf along for the ride to help guide us on our journey."
Who is A Halo Called Fred you ask?
A Halo Called Fred provides the best geek rock ever played on guitar, bass, fiddle, and kitchenware. Their songs feature such topics as Pirates, Steampunks, Cavemen, and any body part or flying thing you can imagine. Halo has performed with King Missile, been produced by a member of Ween, and featured on The Doctor Demento Show. Reborn after a decade-long hiatus, they are regulars at off-beat cultural events such as Wicked Faire, The Steampunk World's Fair, and the Macabre Faire Film Festival.
The band is currently recording their full-length debut for Lump'N'Loaf Records with award-winning producer/engineer Anthony Kroposky. The CD, currently untitled, is set for a Spring 2015 release with an East Coast tour to follow.
About Lump'N'Loaf Records - L'N'L was founded in 2000 with one mission in mind - to cast a spotlight on original, cutting-edge music that has been born out of the highly talented central New Jersey music scene. L'N'L is home to A Halo Called Fred, Little Dipper, Trio Of Madness, Zigman Bird, and many others.
