(NETCONG, NJ) -- The Growing Stage: The Children's Theatre of New Jersey is presenting Cinderella: A Salsa Fairy Tale. With a book and lyrics by Karen Zacarías (Ella Enchanted) and music by Deborah Wicks La Puma (Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus), this vibrant production runs weekends from February 6–15, 2026. Alex Dawson is full-time faculty at Rutgers University, where he teaches creative writing with a focus on folklore, fantasy, and horror; hosts Inside the Writers House, a video chat with acclaimed authors from all over the world; and leads fable-fueled Study Abroad programs to some of the planet's most mythical places.



(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- Art House Productions presents Black Is The New Black, a group exhibition curated by Bryant Small. The exhibition will be on view at the Art House Gallery from Saturday, February 7 through Sunday, March 1, 2026. It brings together six artists whose practices demonstrate the expressive power, conceptual range, and visual intensity of working in monochrome.

Learn about his life and career during "Miles Davis: Birth of the Cool," a program honoring Black History Month, at the Brick Branch of the Ocean County Library on Saturday, February 28, 2026. The event begins at 2:30pm.



(ENGLEWOOD, NJ) -- Jacqueline Sideman Guttman, a musician and arts administrator whose career was redirected by rheumatoid arthritis, will speak about her book, Widowhood and Other Altered States, and give a reading at the newly renovated Englewood Public Library on Tuesday, March 24, 2026. The event begins at 2:00pm.
