Bowie always had hits, but was never as popular in the mainstream as he became with this album. This release made him a true superstar on a different level. It's an interesting mix of mainstream hits and songs you'd find on more of his experimental albums - a clear difference between the first and second side. The hits weren't just hits, though, they are among the artist's greatest hits and my own personal favorites.
