Bruce was going through personal turmoil within his first marriage, which led to some of the most personal and most honest lyrics of his career. This album was underrated by Springsteen fans for many years, but seemed to be get its recognition years later. It's a powerful record. My favorites include "Brilliant Disguise", "Walk Like A Man", "One Step Up" and the title track.
