Billy Joel is a piano based rock artist from Long Island. He was one of the first artists I ever followed and probably among the first albums I ever purchased.
He had a monthly residency at Madison Square Garden for over a decade!
There are some incredible songs on this album that rank among my favorites from Billy Joel. While "We Didn't Start The Fire" is the one many will remember from this album, my favorites include "Downeaster 'Alexa'", "I Go To Extremes", and the closer "And So It Goes".
Billy Joel was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1999.
