Anais Mitchell is a singer-songwriter from Vermont who first started playing in the early 2000s. Her music is folk based story songs. I stumbled upon her second album, Hymns for the Exiled, in the early days of my online radio station. Years later, she would create the Tony Award winning play, Hadestown.
