Johnny Cash was a legendary singer-songwriter from Arkansas who was revered by fans of country music and rock and roll.

Some of his final albums were covers of popular artists. The fourth release in the series - and final studio album released within his lifetime - included this absolutely brilliant cover of "Hurt" by Nine Inch Nails. Talk about someone making a cover song their own... This is definitely one of them.

Johnny Cash was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1992.
