Michael McDermott is a singer-songwriter from Chicago. Actually, he's one hell of a singer-songwriter - among the best of his generation, imo. One guy who would likely agree with me is Stephen King. The famous author has quoted lyrics by McDermott in at least two of his novels.
This album came out during the pandemic of 2020. I interviewed him at the end of April and he wasn't sure if the record release show would take place. I'm pretty sure it had to be done virtually. I wrote, "he feels this is a good time for the album which features a title and opening single perfect for the absurd, terrifying, quarantine world we find ourselves in."
