Jules Shear is someone you may not know by name, but likely know his songs. Songs of his were hits by artists like Cyndi Lauper ("All Through The Night"), The Bangles ("If She Knew What She Wants"), and in my area Tommy Conwell and the Young Rumblers ("If We Never Meet Again"). So I had heard of the guy when I saw his CD in the store.
This is a very interesting album and one that definitely isn't for the mainstream. But for me, it had a good vibe and we played it a lot in college. It's like experimental folk tunes.

The Princeton Festival was first founded in 2004, beginning its inaugural season in 2005 with four performances of Sondheim's Sweeney Todd in the Kirby Theatre at the Lawrenceville School and a performance by the Concordia Chamber Players. It has since grown to a nearly month-long event featuring opera, musical theater, baroque and chamber music, and a constantly evolving selection of other genres, including dance, world music, orchestral pops, and choral concerts.
