Josh Ritter is a singer-songwriter from Idaho. This was his third album and my introduction to him. It was instantly one of my favorite albums of the year. The album moves from songs featuring just Josh on guitar to full band songs with ease. The effect is that it makes the solo songs sound so personal and intimate, it's like we're in the room with him writing the song.
Josh would go on to release a ton of great albums, write books, and even paint. Just a very talented guy...
