Guns N' Roses is a band from Los Angeles that exploded on to the national scene with their debut, Appetite for Destruction. It's hard to explain just how big they became based on this record. Led by hits like "Welcome to the Jungle", "Paradise City", and "Sweet Child of Mine", the record would sell about 30 million copies around the world. It made lead singer Axl Rose and guitarist Slash instantly known everywhere and inspired millions of guitarists to play the riff in "Sweet Child of Mine" at instrument stores.
The band has had a turbulent existence to say the least, but their catalog was impressive enough to get them inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012.

It has since grown to a nearly month-long event featuring opera, musical theater, baroque and chamber music, and a constantly evolving selection of other genres, including dance, world music, orchestral pops, and choral concerts.
