Jeff Healey Band, The
"Angel Eyes"
Released in 1988
Jeff Healey was a blues guitarist from Toronto, Canada. He lost his sight as a baby, but learned how to play guitar with the instrument on his lap. Years later, he would show the playing style to the world in the film "Road House".
This track was a cover of John Hiatt's "Angel Eyes" tune. In my opinion, it's one of the best covers released in my lifetime. He truly makes the song his own.
