Arlan Feiles and the Broken Hearted "Live From The Strand"
Released in 2017
Arlan Feiles is a singer-songwriter based in New Jersey. He is one of the most talented songwriters I know . I'll never forget the first time I finally played a CD of his that was sent to my online radio station. The album simply blew me away. As did just about every release that followed. His albums are ones I always look forward to.
Years before moving to New Jersey, Arlan was in a band called Natural Causes. In this great sounding concert, he plays many of his most popular songs and even one of my favorite tracks from that band "Hangin' Mr. Johnson"
I first interviewed Arlan Feiles in 2005 for Upstage Magazine. That interview can be found here.
In 2016, I interviewed him as he was about to record a live album. That feature can be found here.

This week Lazlo takes a look at new releases by Rhonette Smith, Nick Scafuto, Evil Nature, Rich Lancia, Radar & Satellite, and Todd Bailey. Plus a look back at "We Go High" by Boots.

The Princeton Festival was first founded in 2004, beginning its inaugural season in 2005 with four performances of Sondheim's Sweeney Todd in the Kirby Theatre at the Lawrenceville School and a performance by the Concordia Chamber Players. It has since grown to a nearly month-long event featuring opera, musical theater, baroque and chamber music, and a constantly evolving selection of other genres, including dance, world music, orchestral pops, and choral concerts.
