The Gaslight Anthem are a band from New Brunswick, NJ that formed in 2006. Led by lead singer Brian Fallon, the band followed up their breakthrough album with American Slang. It's one of the albums that I think should belong in every Jersey music fan's collection. The band beautifully blends the Jersey Shore sound with punk music. You can hear influences from Springsteen to Southside as well as bands like The Replacements. They take all of their influences and blend them into something distinctly their own.
