The Cure are an English rock band that formed in the mid 1970s and became one of the biggest alt rock bands in the world. This was their best selling album that featured a number of hits including "Fascination Street", "Lovesong", "Pictures of You", and "Lullaby" which rank among the band's best songs. It's a mix of goth and psychedelia - not easy to pull off, but they do.
The Cure was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2019.
The Makin Waves Song of the Week is "Make This World Stand Still" from Trenton-bred roots/country songstress Lisa Bouchelle's forthcoming album, "Vandals, Thieves & Lovers."
