Edie Brickell and the New Bohemians
"Shooting Rubberbands At The Stars"

Released in 1988

Edie Brickell & the New Bohemians are a band from Dallas, Texas who began in the 1980s. Few albums remind me of my college days as this one. "What I Am" was my introduction to Edie and I fell completely in love with this album. The lyrics are like poetry, her voice is amazing, and the music has elements of folk, jazz, rock and a sort of weightless quality - often like being in a dream.
