Here is a look at upcoming shows taking place from April 9-16, 2024 along with our featured listings. New Jersey Stage offers previews of concerts throughout the Garden State as well as select shows in New York City and Philadelphia areas. Click on the title to go to the full preview. Saturday, April 13 - Chris Pinnella to perform "Sinatra at the Sands" album at Axelrod Performing Arts Center. (DEAL PARK, NJ) -- Take a journey back to 1966 with vocal powerhouse Chris Pinnella as he performs the iconic "Sinatra at the Sands" album in its entirety, backed by a 14-piece big band at the Axelrod Performing Arts Center. The performance will take place on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 8:00pm.

Sunday, April 14 - Lizzie Rose Music Room presents Chris Smither. (TUCKERTON, NJ) -- The Lizzie Rose Music Room presents singer-songwriter Chris Smither on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at 7:30pm. Having distilled his own signature sound of blues and folk for over 50 years, Chris Smither is truly an American original. A profound songwriter, Chris continues to draw deeply from the blues, American folk music, modern poets and philosophers. His 20th record, All About the Bones will be released on May 3, 2024 on Signature Sounds/Mighty Albert.

Sunday, April 14 - Chicken Fat Ball Returns to Maplewood on April 14th. It's been several years since pianist Ehud Asherie performed at the Chicken Fat Ball, but he'll feel right at home. "These are guys I've played and recorded with many times before," he said.

Sunday, April 14 - McCarter Theatre Center presents Trailblazing Women of Country - A Tribute to Patsy, Loretta, and Dolly. (PRINCETON, NJ) -- McCarter Theatre Center presents Trailblazing Women of Country - A Tribute to Patsy, Loretta, and Dolly in the Matthews Theater on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at 7:00pm. The night pays tribute to three towering voices that have forever altered the course of the culture - Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, and Dolly Parton.

The festival takes place April 12-13 at the Atlantic City Convention Center.

The Newton Theatre presents Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes. (NEWTON, NJ) -- The Newton Theatre presents Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes on Friday, April 12, 2024 at 8:00pm.  One of the true legends in New Jersey music history, the band has been going strong since the seventies with more than 30 albums released in that time.

NJPAC presents Musiq Soulchild and Eric Benét. (NEWARK, NJ) -- New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) presents an intimate evening with Musiq Soulchild and Eric Benét on Friday, April 12, 2024 at 8:00pm. Tickets range from $51.50-$111.50.

The Offspring set to take-over The Punk Rock Museum April 12-14. (LOS ANGELES, CA) – During a packed show in Las Vegas at Fremont St. Experience, The Offspring announced they will be returning to Las Vegas for a take-over of The Punk Rock Museum to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their acclaimed record, Smash, during the weekend of April 12th-14th with a slew of fun activities.

Roy's Hall presents House of Hamill. (BLAIRSTOWN, NJ) -- Roy's Hall presents House of Hamill on Friday, April 12, 2024 at 8:00pm. The band's music is described as "on the edge of tradition and innovation". They tour nationally, performing at Celtic festivals and established folk venues.



Saturday, April 13

The Newton Theatre presents Kashmir. (NEWTON, NJ) -- Kashmir, the nation's #1 Led Zeppelin tribute show, will perform at The Newton Theatre on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 8:00pm. Kashmir possesses the live stage show, sound, and likeness to bring audiences and fans back to the days when the mighty Led Zeppelin ruled the musical landscape.

Jazz at Princeton presents Jazz Festival 2024. (PRINCETON, NJ) -- Jazz at Princeton, Princeton University Music Department, presents Jazz Festival 2024 on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Richardson Auditorium, Alexander Hall. The event runs from 1:00pm to 10:00pm with free sets by Darryl Harper (clarinet), Josh Lawrence (trumpet), Yuhan Su (vibraphone), and the Princeton University Faculty Quintet. Westminster Choir to perform at Carnegie Hall. (NEW YORK, NY) -- The Westminster Choir will return to Carnegie Hall for a performance that will honor the late composer James Whitbourn, whose deep ties to Westminster Choir College lasted more than 20 years before his death in March. The event will take place in Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium, one of the national historic landmark’s three venues, on April 13, 2024 at 1:00pm.

Westminster Conservatory Faculty Recital Series presents music of Cecelia Reilly. (PRINCETON, NJ) -- Westminster Conservatory of Music presents 60 Ellipses Around the Sun, a recital featuring music by Westminster Conservatory faculty member Cecelia Reilly, on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 7:30pm. The concert will take place in Bristol Chapel (101 Walnut Lane) in Princeton. Admission is free.



Sunday, April 14

Symphony in C Presents Brilliant!. (HADDONFIELD, NJ) -- Symphony in C, the Mid-Atlantic region's Young Professionals Orchestra, will host its annual gala on Sunday, April 14, 2024 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at Tavistock Country Club (1 Tavistock Lane) in Haddonfield. The theme, Brilliant! is an apt description of this ensemble of the best young professional orchestra musicians from Juilliard, the Curtis Institute of Music, and other prestigious music conservatories.

Omarion, Vedo, Tone Stith, WanMor, and Jastin Martin to perform at NJPAC. Penn Live Arts presents Alarm Will Sound. (PHILADELPHIA, PA) -- Penn Live Arts (PLA) – the leading presenter of innovative and transformative performing arts experiences in Philadelphia – presents Alarm Will Sound on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at the Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts. Described as being "as close to being a rock band as a chamber orchestra can be," by The New York Times, Alarm Will Sound performs music by Steve Reich in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Music for 18 Musicians. The program also includes Clapping Music, which uses hands as the sole instrument, Vermont Counterpoint, and Radio Rewrite, inspired by the music of Radiohead and given its premiere recording by Alarm Will Sound in 2016. Showtime is 7:00pm.

(ATLANTIC CITY, NJ) -- Fresh off the heels of announcing their first album in 15 years, Happiness Bastards, legendary rock band The Black Crowes has announced their 2024 headline tour – set to hit 35 cities in North America and Europe this Spring in support of their forthcoming studio album. Locally the tour comes to Radio City Music Hall in NYC on April 27; Ovation Hall at Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City on May 4; and The Met in Philadelphia on May 7, 2024.
