Sherman Theater presents Almost Queen

(STROUDSBURG, PA) -- The most authentic Queen tribute show since the days of Queen themselves, Almost Queen, will rock the Sherman Theater in Stroudsburg on May 21. Philadelphia Freedom, A Tribute to Elton John, will open the show.  Doors are at 7:00pm, showtime is 8:00pm.

A deliberate four piece band, Almost Queen delivers a live performance showcasing signature four part harmonies and intricate musical interludes. Donning genuine costumes, and playing all of your favority Queen hits, Almost Queen recaptures the live energy and precision needed to deliver the ultimate Queen tribute experience.

The band features Joseph Russo as Freddie Mercury; Steve Leonard as Brian May; Steve Leonard as Brian May; John Cappadona as Roger Taylor; John Cappadona as Roger Taylor; and Randy Gregg as John Deacon. Almost Queen is a Queen tribute band and is not affiliated with the band Queen or any of its members.

Tickets range from $29.50 to $69.50 and are available for purchase online.

The Sherman Theater is Monroe County’s only nationally ranked, non-profit theater and performing arts center.  Located in downtown Stroudsburg, PA, the Sherman Theater has proudly served the Pocono region for more than 90 years.  The Theater and Performing Arts Center is committed to strengthening the community by producing culturally-diverse, nationally-known professional acts and festivals at the theater and at satellite locations throughout Monroe County for people of all ages, by providing an opportunity for local artists to perform, and by creating economic development in the region. (NEWARK, NJ) -- With just three programs remaining on the 2025–26 season, Music Director Xian Zhang conducts Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Requiem, the composer's final composition last performed by New Jersey Symphony in 2018, from April 16-19, 2026. Mysteriously commissioned and incomplete at the time of Mozart's death, the Requiem is widely regarded as one of the composer's most accomplished works. Written for a funeral Mass, the music is intensely emotional, ranging from powerful drama to languid sorrow to serene tenderness.
