The album will be launched as part of the SoundSurge Mutual Aid Concert on Feb. 16 at Joe Pop's Shore Bar in Ship Bottom. The highly anticipated event promises an unforgettable night of music and community support that also will feature the release of a new single from singer-songwriter Izzy Miz and the official launch of Soundsmith Records, an Ocean County-based black-owned record label created by educator and recording artist Chill Smith.

The amped-up celebration also will serve as a goods and supply drive, supporting the local community by collecting food and items benefiting local nonprofit Bright Harbor Healthcare’s Street Outreach Services (SOS) program in Ocean County.

Promising to ignite the winter season with a diverse lineup of nonstop performances and an energetic atmosphere, SoundSurge aims to unite music and art lovers from all walks of life. Visual artists and other creatives will be featured in a pop-up vendor market.

“We're psyched to bring SoundSurge to LBI," Chris said. "This event is more than just a concert; it's a night of music, creativity, community, and the power of coming together for a good cause. We want to align this record label with good will in the community from the jump, so that’s what we’re working toward.”

Chill added, “The goal behind Soundsmith is simple: to be a real resource for artists whose voices need to be heard. It’s a place where people can just create without worrying about money, pressure, or being stuck in a toxic studio environment. It’s about building something where everyone involved genuinely wants to succeed.”
