Lizzie Rose Music presents the Pavilion in the Pines Concert Series for July

(TUCKERTON, NJ) -- Lizzie Rose Music is presenting The Pavilion in the Pines Concert Series again this summer on their outdoor stage located at Atlantic Shore Pines Campground in Tuckerton.  It is located off Exit 58 of the Garden State Parkway.  Shows take place in a covered pavilion with seating provided.  All shows start at 7:30pm.

Here is a look at concerts scheduled for July 2022.  Tickets for all shows are available for purchase online.

Wednesday, July 6th - Selwyn Birchwood. Since the 2014 release of his Alligator Records debut, Don't Call No Ambulance, Birchwood's meteoric rise from playing small Florida clubs to headlining international festival stages is nothing short of phenomenal. The album received the Blues Music Award and Living Blues Critics' Award for Best Debut Album Of 2014, and he won the 2015 Blues Blast Rising Star Award. Rave reviews ran in publications from Rolling Stone to The Wall Street Journal, from The Chicago Tribune to The San Francisco Chronicle.

Sunday, July 10 - Damn The Torpedoes: The Music of Tom Petty. Mesmerizing audiences since 2007, Damn The Torpedoes  offer a complete Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers  concert experience.   Whether performing note for note renditions of Tom Petty studio recordings or engaging the audience with actual live versions of Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers.  Performances, patrons and venues can be assured that Damn The Torpedoes will deliver the "AWE" factor every time.

Wednesday, July 13 - Albert Castiglia. Miami-raised Albert Castiglia served an apprenticeship while backing legendary blues musician Junior Wells. He later went on to work with singer Sandra Hall. Never content to allow himself to be confined to any particular category, he embarked on a solo career that's yielded many critically-acclaimed albums and consist kudos for his exceptional instrumental prowess, his searing vocals, and live performances that have dazzled audiences from coast to coast. It's little wonder that Miami's New Times lauded him as South Florida's "Best Blues Guitarist" or that USA Today was inspired to remark "It's a revelation to discover the thrilling retro-electric blues from this astonishing young guitarist."

Tuesday, July 19 - Tinsley Ellis. World renowned Southern blues-rock guitarist, vocalist and songwriter Tinsley Ellis — like every other musician — was caught off-guard when the pandemic shutdown hit in March 2020. Ellis was forced to cancel the tour promoting his just-released album, Ice Cream In Hell, only six weeks into the 60-date run. This would be the first time in 40 years he'd be off the road, and as he drove the 2400 miles home from Reno to Atlanta, he was already formulating his future plans.

Wednesday, July 20 - Toronzo Cannon.  Chicago bluesman Toronzo Cannon defies all expectations. The blistering guitarist, soulful vocalist, singular songwriter and city bus driver fuses his muscular, rock-inspired blues guitar playing with his original, keenly detailed slice-of-life songs, blazing his own blues trail.

Thursday, July 21 - The Royal Scam: The Ultimate Tribute to Steely Dan. Since it's inception in 1992, the Royal Scam has been performing for packed houses and cheering crowds who appreciate the classic rock music of Steely Dan. Touted by NJ Monthly as one of the Top 10 tribute bands to experience, the band's stellar musicianship and attention to detail for every song has garnered them a large and loyal following.  Featured on the cover of Steppin' Out Magazine, the Scam has played to rave reviews at such respected venues as the China Club, Shell Theater at Trump Marina, McCloone's Supper Club, Club Bené, The Rock and Roll Cafe, Berks Jazz Fest, Scranton Jazz Fest, Bethlehem Musikfest, Trumpets Jazz Club, just to name a few. The Royal Scam radiates a spirit of vitality, authenticity, and intimacy that breathes new life and emotional energy into the music they perform. The ensemble creates an inspiring, engaging musical experience and is consistently first rate and professional. Come see the glory of the Royal Scam!

Monday, July 25 -- Lil Ed & The Blues Imperials. In Chicago, a city overflowing with unrivaled blues talent, world-renowned Lil' Ed & The Blues Imperials have been standing tall for almost 30 years. The band's big sound, fueled by Lil' Ed's gloriously rollicking slide work and deep blues string bending, along with his rough-edged, soulful vocals, is as real and hard-hitting as Chicago blues gets. The Chicago Sun-Times says, "Lil' Ed & The Blues Imperials are the hottest purveyors of bottleneck boogie to come out of Chicago since Hound Dog Taylor."

The Atlantic Shore Pines Campground is located at 450 Ishmael Road in Tuckerton, New Jersey.  The facility is handicap accessible, offers free parking, and a covered pavilion. Click here for directions.

Rock On! This Week's Sound Bites...4/18/24

"I tell everyone that I'm the last surviving original member of my band, however I had a 50/50 chance where some other guys didn't," laughed John Ford Coley as he reflected upon his former partnership with the late England Dan, current bands with no original members, his very loyal fan base and his fellow mellow rockers as they get ready to bring "Rock The Dock" to Englewood, NJ for a night of some of the greatest adult contemporary and easy listening tunes ever created.
