Westminster Conservatory Faculty Recital Series continues on December 8th with music for clarinet, viola and piano

(PRINCETON, NJ) -- The Westminster Conservatory Faculty Recital Series will continue on Sunday, December 8, 2024 at 3:00pm with a recital of music for clarinet, viola, and piano. The event will take place in Bristol Chapel in Princeton. It is open to the public and free of charge.

Westminster Conservatory faculty members Kenneth Ellison (clarinet) and Larissa Korkina (piano) will be joined by guest artist Dennis Krasnokutsky (viola). The program comprises two trios — Mozart's "Kegelstatt" Trio KV 498 and movements from Max Bruch's Eight Pieces, opus 83 — and three duets for viola and piano — movements from J.S. Bach's Sonata BWV 1028, the Sonata in D Minor by Mikhail Glinka, and Carl Maria von Weber's Andante and Hungarian Rondo, opus 35.

Principal violist of the Capital Philharmonic of New Jersey and the Philadelphia Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra, Krasnokutsky is an internationally acclaimed soloist and chamber musician. He has collaborated with renowned Serbian pianist Maja Rajkovic in chamber music concerts throughout the world, and has presented solo recitals in the United States, Asia and Europe. He is a founding member of the Samuel Barber String Quartet and a member of the award-winning Rowan String Quartet.

Krasnokutsky's list of professional orchestra appearances includes the Harrisburg Symphony, Miami Orchestra, Reno Philharmonic, Baton Rouge Symphony and the Bay-Atlantic Symphony. He has collaborated with an array of artists, including Hilary Hahn, Bella Hristova, Sara Chang, Jonathan Biss, Frank Sinatra, Jr., Bernadette Peters and more.

Bristol Chapel is located at 101 Walnut Lane in Princeton, New Jersey.
