(WARETOWN, NJ) -- Halloween may have come and gone, but the Jersey Devil is always lurking in the Pines! On Saturday, November 7, 2026, Albert Music Hall will celebrate one of New Jersey's most enduring legends with its annual Jersey Devil Show, an evening combining live music, storytelling, and the rich folklore of the New Jersey Pinelands.
This year's Jersey Devil Show features a diverse lineup of six musical acts, along with a special retelling of the Jersey Devil legend, and an appearance by the famous cryptid.
Starting at 6:00pm, the Jersey Devil Pipe Band will reunite to fill the Hall’s rafters with the dramatic sounds of the bagpipes. Burnt Tavern will then offer an expressive interpretation of the Jersey Devil legend, bringing the centuries-old tale to life through their own distinctive style of storytelling and performance.
The lineup also features Jason Ager, a singer-songwriter and guitarist whose music blends elements of Blues, Folk, and Americana; Bugsy Tomes, an engaging performer and regular at renaissance fairs who describes himself as a “level 9 bard”; and Johnny Zarfati, a soulful Americana singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who draws on the grit of the Northeast and the soul of American roots music. Rounding out the lineup is Elaine & The Cimarron Sky Band, bringing their blend of classic Country, Country-Rock, and Bluegrass-influenced harmonies to the Hall.
The doors will open at 5:00pm, with music beginning at 6:00pm. Admission is $6 for adults and $1 for children under 12. Note that Albert Music Hall is a cash-only venue. Albert Music Hall is located at 131 Wells Mills Road (Route 532), Waretown, New Jersey. The venue offers free parking (additional parking behind the hall) and is wheelchair accessible.
For generations, tales of the Jersey Devil have been passed down throughout the Pine Barrens. According to legend, the mysterious creature was born as Mother Leeds' thirteenth child and has roamed the forests and swamps of South Jersey ever since. The story has become an enduring part of the region's cultural identity, reflecting the traditions of storytelling and folklore that have helped shape the Pinelands.
Beyond the stage performances, the event will celebrate another longstanding Pinelands tradition: musicians gathering informally to share songs and play together. Albert Music Hall's Pickin' Shed and porch will be open for jamming from the time doors open, welcoming musicians of all skill levels to bring their instruments and join in.
Visitors can enjoy refreshments from the Hall's Food Booth, including chili with cornbread, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, hot and cold beverages, and a selection of desserts. The Gift Shop will offer Albert Music Hall and Pinelands-themed gifts, including Jersey Devil merchandise. A 50/50 drawing will also be held.
Rooted in the musical traditions of the Pine Barrens, Albert Music Hall provides a fitting setting for this celebration of local folklore. Operated by the all-volunteer Pinelands Cultural & Historical Preservation Society (PCS), the Hall has long brought musicians and audiences together to celebrate the region's unique cultural heritage. The Jersey Devil Show continues that tradition with an evening of music and storytelling dedicated to the Pines' most mysterious resident.
