(TENAFLY, NJ) -- ACC Gallery presents two exhibitions from November 7-13, 2026. The exhibitions are Diary-My Halu by Jin Young Yoon and Dear My Nature by Kim Kyung Yi.
Jin Young Yoon is an accomplished fine artist with an extensive academic background, earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1985 and her Master of Fine Arts in 1987 from Hongik University, followed by a Master of Fine Arts in Fine Art from the University of Central England (UCE) in Birmingham, UK, in 1995.
Her professional career spans both academic instruction and therapeutic practice. She has served as a lecturer in Fine Arts at Hongik University and in Industrial Design at Incheon College, and contributed as a research assistant at Hongik University. Additionally, she has applied her artistic expertise through art therapy programs at Shinan Primary School in Anyang City and Korea University Hospital in Ansan City.
Marking her 11th solo exhibition, titled Diary-My Halu, her works will be showcased at the New Jersey ACC Gallery from November 7 to November 13, 2026. Building upon her "Diary Series" initiated in 1988, this exhibition captures a record of time suspended between daily memory and oblivion, creating a reflective space where memories transform into new rooms of recollection.
Kyung Yi Kim is an accomplished Korean painter who holds both a B.F.A. and an M.F.A. in Korean Painting from the Graduate School of Sungshin Women's University. Recognized early in her career, she received accolades at prestigious national platforms, including the National Art Exhibition and the Grand Art Exhibition of Korea hosted at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art. Throughout her distinguished career, she has showcased her work in ten solo exhibitions across Seoul, New York, and New Jersey—most recently at ACC Gallery and COSMOS Gallery—alongside numerous curated group exhibitions.
In her artistic statement, "Dear My Nature," Kim describes her creative process as an intimate conversation with nature. Her practice explores theme of environmental resilience and rebirth, capturing how life sprouts anew from scorched earth and charred landscapes. By soaking her canvases with traditional glue (agyo), pigments, and ink, she blends childhood memories and sensory experiences into inner landscapes that evoke hope, vitality, and quiet reflection. She remains an active member of key professional organizations, including the Korean Fine Arts Association, the Catholic Artists Association of Korea, the Korean Female Artists Association, and the Korean Painting Promotion Association.
