(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- Interested in filmmaking? You can learn how to produce a film like a pro at "Producing 101: From Script to Set with The Gig Media" on Saturday, November 14, 2026 at Miraley Studios in Jersey City.
Leyla T. Rosario and Jessica L. Ransom, co-founders of The Gig Media, have spent over 20 years combined in production rooms, on sets, and behind budgets for some of the biggest brands in the world. They built this workshop to help others learn what they had to learn on their own.
Producing 101: From Script to Set is a one-day, in-person masterclass where we walk you through exactly how a production gets made from the first read of a script to the moment the crew rolls.
Attendees will walk away with: A Producer template kit including a bid and budget spreadsheet, script breakdown sheet, PPM deck template, call sheet, crew deal memo, PA checklist, post checklist, and insurance and COI cheat sheet. You also receive written feedback on your post-workshop bid submission.
The workshop covers: Breaking down a script like a producer. Building a real bid from scratch. Prep, crew hiring, deal memos, and casting. PPM decks and client meetings. The paperwork that protects you and your client. A live group exercise bidding a mock 30-second spot.

Leyla T. Rosario is a Director, Executive Producer, Co-Founder of The Gig Media, and Founder of Miraley Entertainment & Miraley Studios. With over 20 years of experience spanning Droga5, Ogilvy, mcgarrybowen, and Translation, her work has earned Cannes Lions, D&AD, The One Show, CLIO, and Imagen Awards. Some of her clients include Peacock, Paramount+, AT&T, and Netflix. She holds a BFA from NYU Tisch and is a Television Academy member. Leyla continues to build community-driven production resources locally in Jersey City, NJ, for filmmakers and content creators.
Jessica L. Ransom is an Executive Producer and Co-Founder of The Gig Media. Her career includes key roles at Netflix, BET, and MTV, as well as advertising agencies such as Deutsch, Anomaly, and Wunderman Thompson, where she honed her ability to create content that bridges culture, brand, and entertainment. A proud member of the Television Academy, Jessica continues to champion expansive storytelling while carving out her lane as a creative innovator and industry leader.
