(CINNAMINSON, NJ) -- Burlington County Footlighters presents The Drowsy Chaperone weekends from November 6-21, 2026. When a die-hard theatre fan plays his favorite cast album, the characters come to life in this hilarious Tony Award-winning musical farce.
With the houselights down, a man in a chair appears on stage and puts on his favorite record: the cast recording of a fictitious 1928 musical. The recording comes to life and The Drowsy Chaperone begins as the man in the chair looks on. Mix in two lovers on the eve of their wedding, a bumbling best man, a desperate theatre producer, a not-so-bright hostess, two gangsters posing as pastry chefs, a misguided Don Juan and an intoxicated chaperone, and you have the ingredients for an evening of madcap delight.
Winner of five Tony Awards, including Best Book and Best Original Score, The Drowsy Chaperone is a loving send-up of the Golden Age musical, featuring one show-stopping song and dance number after another.
Tickets are $25 and available for purchase online. Performances take place Friday and Saturday nights at 8:00pm; Sunday matinees at 2:00pm. There is also an Understudy Performance on Thursday, November 12th at 8:00pm. The theater is located at 808 Pomona Road in Cinnaminson, New Jersey.
The Drowsy Chaperone features Music & Lyrics by Lisa Lambert and Greg Morrison; Book by Bob Martin and Don McKellar.
The cast includes Tim Herman (Man In Chair), Caroline Quattro (Janet Van De Graaff), Tim Catrino (Robert Martin), Kaitlyn Delengowski (The Drowsy Chaperone), Theresa Perri (Mrs. Tottendale), Al Krier (Underling), Rick Williams (Feldzieg), Kayleigh La Grutta (Kitty), Mark Rebilas (Aldopho), Andrew Donachie (George), Dana Weiss (Trix, the Aviatrix), and the Gangsters (Alex David-Dell'Olio and Kori Rife).
