(WARETOWN, NJ) -- Albert Music Hall will celebrate the fall season with its annual Harvest Hootenanny on Sunday, October 11, 2026, bringing an afternoon of Country, Folk, Bluegrass and more to the Jersey Pines. Doors open at 1:00pm with music beginning at 2:00pm.
The term “hootenanny” has long been associated with lively, informal gatherings centered around folk and roots music, and was often used to describe some of the early musical gatherings that preceded today’s Albert Music Hall. That spirit continues at the annual fall event, where the atmosphere is informal and audiences are encouraged to clap, sing along and be part of the music.
Six acts will take the stage throughout the afternoon: The J. Ray Duo, Lloyd David Cadigan, The Coal-Fired Ramblers, Bad Dogz, Fish & Whistle, and Elaine & The Cimarron Sky Band.
The lineup covers a range of roots music styles, with the J. Ray Duo drawing from Folk, Bluegrass and ’70s Classic Rock, and singer-songwriter Lloyd David Cadigan performing Country Rock, Folk and ballads. Traveling in from Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, The Coal-Fired Ramblers focus on traditional Bluegrass, including standards and original songs inspired by the Anthracite Coal Region. Bad Dogz mixes high-lonesome Bluegrass with Traditional Folk and Americana, while Fish & Whistle brings a high-energy approach to Bluegrass and Traditional Folk. Elaine & The Cimarron Sky Band rounds out the lineup with harmony-driven Classic Country and Country Rock blended with Bluegrass.
The music extends beyond the main stage to the Hall’s free Pickin’ Shed, located adjacent to the main building. The Shed opens with the doors and welcomes musicians of all skill levels to bring an instrument and join the informal jam, while visitors are welcome to stop by and listen.
The Hall’s food booth will add some fall flavors to the afternoon, serving chili with cornbread, hot dogs and cheeseburgers, with vegetarian burgers available upon request. Desserts will include warm apple cider donuts, pumpkin pie and other treats, along with hot and cold beverages.
The Albert Music Hall Gift Booth will also be open with Hall merchandise and other items, and a 50/50 drawing will be held during the event.
Admission is $10 for adults and $1 for children under 12. Albert Music Hall is a cash-only venue. Parking is free, including additional parking behind the Hall, and the venue is wheelchair accessible.
Albert Music Hall is located at 131 Wells Mills Road (Route 532) in Waretown, New Jersey. The Hall is operated by the Pinelands Cultural & Historical Preservation Society, an all-volunteer nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the music, history and culture of the New Jersey Pinelands.
