
(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- This season, Mayo Performing Arts Center (MPAC) is bringing movie magic to Morristown, invoking nostalgia for its origins as The Community Theatre, the crown jewel of Walter Reade's chain of movie houses during the Golden Age of Hollywood. The fall lineup features beloved films reimagined for MPAC's role today as the heart of live entertainment in Morris County.
Enjoy the ultimate cinematic experience as the classic films Ghostbusters, Coco and Rocky are shown on the big screen, with a live orchestra performing their iconic scores in perfect sync.
They're shivering with anticipation for their Halloween showing of The Rocky Horror Picture Show featuring the Cosmic Light Cabaret shadowcast, a costume contest and plenty of audience participation.
Finally, MPAC kicks off a fun old-fashioned family Christmas by welcoming Chevy Chase, the man behind Clark Griswold, live on stage following a screening of National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.

Sunday, October 18, 2026 at 7:00pm - Ghostbusters in Concert. Experience the beloved 1984 classic film like never before, with the music performed on stage by an orchestra. Audience members will enjoy the ultimate movie concert experience as Ghostbusters is presented on a large HD cinema screen, fully synced to a live performance of Academy Award®-winning composer Elmer Bernstein's spine-tingling score. Rated PG: may be too intense for younger children. Tickets range from $45-$91.
Saturday, October 24, 2026 at 3:00pm - Coco Live-to-Film Concert. Disney Pixar's Coco in Concert features a screening of the movie Coco, with Oscar® and Grammy®-winning composer Michael Giacchino's musical score performed live by the 20-member Orquesta Folclorica Nacional de Mexico. Coco also features the Oscar®-winning song "Remember Me" by songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez (Frozen), and additional songs co-written by Germaine Franco and co-director and screenwriter Adrian Molina. Tickets range from $35-$79.
Saturday, October 31, 2026 at 7:30pm - The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Get ready to do the Time Warp this Halloween! Join us for a wild and unforgettable night with The Rocky Horror Picture Show on the big screen, featuring all the outrageous fun, music, and mayhem that have made this cult classic a Halloween tradition. The evening will feature the Cosmic Light Cabaret shadowcast performing alongside the film, combining the enjoyment of watching a movie with the thrill of live theatre. Costumes are welcome, and audience participation is all part of the experience! The Halloween Costume Contest will take place at 7:30pm prior to the film screening. Tickets are $32.

Join us for an unforgettable evening of holiday cheer and laughs as we celebrate the timeless classic, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, with a special screening of the film followed by a live conversation and Q&A with Chevy Chase, and his wife Jayni.?The pair will share their behind-the-scenes stories and personal anecdotes about the making of this beloved movie that has become a Christmas tradition. But the laughter doesn't stop there! They'll also be taking questions from the audience, giving you the chance to have your questions answered and hear firsthand from Chevy about his storied career including SNL, Caddyshack, and so much more.
