In a pre-digital world, culture was rooted in tactile, fragile, handcrafted heirlooms. In her first expansive solo show in the USA, Nadia Myre: Analog/ues, Canadian Indigenous artist Nadia Myre translates complex Native and settler histories of North America into multimedia works that open cross-cultural dialogues.
She reconfigures elements of beadwork and language to create experimental ceramic sculptures, process-oriented videos, and text-based pieces. The work is both analog—having a material, pre-digital resonance—and serves as analogues, or are comparable to other things.

Nadia Myre: Analog/ues is on view at Montclair Art Museum through January 17, 2027. The museum is located at 3 South Mountain Avenue in Montclair, New Jersey.
