(RAHWAY, NJ) -- Rahway will host the final featured city hall event of a statewide advocacy and education tour on October 1, 2026 - the first day of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, as PINK Breast Centers' Pink Warriors bring the #EverythingElseCanWait message to communities across New Jersey.
A caravan of rolling billboards and Pink Warriors, breast cancer survivors who advocate for regular screenings and early detection, will carry the campaign through 20 New Jersey communities, concluding the day's featured presentations with a 4:00pm stop at Rahway City Hall, 1 City Hall Plaza. Mayor Raymond A. Giacobbe and members of the City Council will join healthcare advocates, community leaders, and the Pink Warriors in encouraging women to prioritize their health and schedule potentially life-saving mammograms.
While breast health requires year-round attention, Breast Cancer Awareness Month provides a critical platform for highlighting persistent health disparities. The #EverythingElseCanWait campaign helps remove barriers to care by connecting women in underserved and high-need communities with information about advanced screening options and breast health resources. New Jersey law requires health insurers to cover annual screening mammograms for women ages 40 and older.
"Early detection is the most effective defense against breast cancer," said Andreia Santos-Lima, CEO of PINK Breast Centers.
