(FAIR LAWN, NJ) -- Old Library Theatre presents The Hello Girls across two weekends from October 16-25, 2026 at the George Frey Performing Arts Center. From New York to Paris, from ragtime to jazz, this musical chronicles the story of America’s first women soldiers in this new musical inspired by history.
Set against the backdrop of World War I, this thrilling musical follows the journey of a group of courageous women who served as bilingual telephone operators on the front lines, playing a crucial role in helping turn the tide of the war. After the war, these intrepid heroines returned home to fight for recognition and equal rights, enduring a decades-long battle that paved the way for future generations.
The cast includes Faith Brolly (Helen Hill), Alyssa Goldman (Suzanne Prevot), Kari Moloney (Grace Banker), Rebecca Horner (Bertha Hunt), Summer Rose Alonso (Louise Lebreton), Finnian Burns (Pvt. Eugene Matterson), Joseph Pierone (Cpt. Joseph Riser), Brad Bebout (Gen. John Pershing). Paige Finnen, Daniel Gardner, Sandy Cocoyutla, Max Rogers, and Madison Borowinski round out the cast.
The musical features Music and Lyrics by Peter C. Mills with a Book by Peter C. Mills and Cara Reichel.
Performances take place Friday, October 16 at 7:30pm; Saturday, October 17 at 7:30pm; Sunday, October 18 at 2:00pm; Saturday, October 24 at 2:00pm & 7:30pm; and Sunday, October 25 at 2:00pm. Tickets are $30 and available for purchase online. George Frey Performing Arts Center is located at 10-10 20th Street in Fair Lawn, New Jersey.

Since bringing home the Gold and Silver medals at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, Laurie Hernandez has gone on to win the coveted Mirror Ball trophy on “Dancing with the Stars” Season 23 and her first book titled “I Got This: To Gold and Beyond” chronicling her journey thus far was published in 2017, hitting the New York Times Best Sellers list. In 2018, she released a children’s picture book “She’s Got This,” also a New York Times Best Seller, while serving as a Literary Champion to promote readership as a path to leadership, and Mattel created Laurie Hernandez “Shero” Barbie to honor her.
