(BYRAM TWP, NJ) -- Live music, line dancing and a look back in time when Civil War reenactors converge on Wild West City in the remainder of August 2026.
The weekend of August 22-23 features Wild West City's annual Civil War encampment. A host of Civil War reenactors will be on hand with tents, exhibits and a true feeling of what it was like during that time period. Visitors that weekend can speak to the reenactors directly about life during the war. In addition, of course, Wild West City entertains the crowds with their own reenactments of scenes from the old west throughout the day, as well as offering train rides, stagecoach rides and a chance for youngsters to become sheriffs as they tangle with the "bad guys."
The Golden Nugget Saloon is where live music and line dancing will transform the western themed amusement park into a happening music hall. Wild West City in Byram Township, added nighttime music events to its summertime schedule of events this year with great success.
The weekend of August 28-29, music and dancing takes center stage at The Nugget. On Friday night August 28, The Harrison Duo, a popular powerhouse husband and wife musical pair that tours all over the tri-state area, plays nearly every genre of music on a wide variety of instruments (usually more than one at a time!). Christian and Jennifer create the sound of a full rock band with only two people! This is a free event.
On Saturday night, August 29, DJ Tina Marie from Whiskey Crossing will bring an unforgettable evening of high-energy country line dancing to The Nugget. The night will include special guest instructor Boots & Bling doing three lessons. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned dancer, this is a chance to hit the floor, learn some steps, and dance by request to everyone's favorite country hits. There is a $10 cover charge for this event.
"Saddle up for a night of line dancing fun!" declares DJ Tina. "Grab your boots, bring your friends and dance the night away!"
Doors for each show open at 5:00pm with music starting at 7:00pm. Once the doors are open patrons can partake in an assortment of food and beverages, including soft drinks and specialty drinks at the full bar.
A special music finale to the music series is also slated for September 25 with the Burnt Mills High Rollers.
