(WAYNE, NJ) -- The Theater League of Clifton will present "The Altos," an interactive dinner theater comic mystery by David Landau, for three weekends in August 2026. Meet the crime family that inspired it all: the Altos! (like 'The Sopranos', only lower!) The first week of performances take place The Village Inn in Wayne and the last weeks at Mario's Restaurant & Pizzeria in Clifton.
It is Tony Alto's funeral - or is it? His wife, Toffee, has invited everyone to the wake, but almost no one seems particularly sorry that Tony is gone. When Tony unexpectedly turns up alive, his family appears even less pleased, leaving the audience to determine who put a contract out on him.
Filled with outrageous characters, family feuds, suspicious behavior and plenty of surprises, "The Altos" invites audience members to become part of the mystery and see whether they can identify the would-be killer.
The first week of performances will be held at The Village Inn (422 Runnymede Drive) in Wayne, New Jersey with shows on Friday, August 14 at 8:00pm; Saturday, August 15 at 8:00pm; and Sunday, August 16 at 4:00pm. The next two weeks are at Mario's Restaurant & Pizzeria (710 Van Houten Avenue) in Clifton, New Jersey with shows on Friday, August 21 at 8:00pm; Saturday, August 22 at 8:00pm; Sunday, August 23 at 4:00pm; Friday, August 28 at 8:00pm; Saturday, August 29 at 8:00pm; and Sunday, August 30 at 4:00pm.
