(HACKETTSTOWN, NJ) -- Centenary University's Theatre Department is seeking an Adjunct Voice Faculty member to teach private vocal instruction beginning in the Fall 2026 semester.
The Adjunct Voice Faculty member will work with undergraduate musical theatre students in private vocal sessions on a bi-weekly schedule. Students will receive eight 55-minute private lessons throughout the semester, as well as a midterm and final jury. The time and day of lessons will be at the discretion of the professor providing instruction.
Lessons will focus on building healthy vocal technique, musicianship, performance skills, repertoire development, and confidence in a supportive studio environment. Centenary University provides a fully equipped teaching studio, including a piano and sound system, for instructional use.
Responsibilities include teaching private voice lessons to undergraduate students on a bi-weekly basis; supporting students in vocal technique, repertoire development, and performance preparation; communicating with students regarding lesson scheduling and expectations; and collaborating with Theatre and Musical Theatre faculty when needed.
Applicants should have experience teaching private voice lessons. A background in musical theatre, classical, contemporary, or commercial vocal styles is preferred, along with a commitment to creating a positive and supportive learning environment for students.
