The 2026 Golden Door International Film Festival takes place this Weekend in Jersey City

(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- The 2026 Golden Door International Film Festival takes place June 25-27 at Arthouse Productions and Nimbus Arts Center.

This is the 15th Annual celebration of filmmakers, actors, and movies for the festival. The festival offers local, national and international independent filmmakers a forum for screening and premiering their work.

Screenings are set up in thematic blocks throughout the festival. Tickets for the blocks are available for purchase online.

The festival opens at Arthouse Productions (345 Marin Boulevard in Jersey City) on Thursday, June 25 at 6:00pm with a red carpet gala event that runs until 10:00pm. Films include Bear to the Right, Who's There?, Welcome to Belle View, The Neighbor, Betty, Cahill's Lanes, SILENT HARMONY, Archangel, Stockholm.

On Friday, June 26, the festival has blocks of film screenings throughout the day at Arthouse Productions.

11:00am - BLOCK 11 - Finding Bob Nelson.  Films include The Journey, Finding Bob Nelson - A True Story Told By An Unreliable Source

12:00pm - BLOCK 10 - Fragile Lands Documentaries. Films include A Fragile Paradise, To The Ends

1:00pm - BLOCK 12 - The Opera Of The Floating World. Films include My Last Visit With Taylor Mead, Finally Fun and Fame in L.A., Bernard Aptekar: The Opera Of The Floating World

2:00pm - BLOCK 9: Drama No. 2. Films include The Promise, Drowning Above Water, A Son's Burden, GLENDALE PARADISE, The Shadow of the Sun, NIKI-TOMI-BETO, DreamZzz

3:00pm - BLOCK 7 - Relationship Drama. Films includes Thousand Dollar Show, Despite Everything, The Escort, Picture Girl, Tomato Soup, Good Morning.

4:00pm - BLOCK 13 - What's Next For Jayden? Films include MeloRaka and Her Autistic Friend Blobblot, What's Next for Jayden? A Young Boy's Journey as a Level 3 Autistic

From 6:00pm to 9:00pm is FRIDAY NIGHT FEVER! Dress to Impress in your best 1970s/Drive-in duds.  The red carpet event: block 2 starts at 6:00pm. Screenings begin at 7:00pm. The films include Green Thumb, Our Director Got Covid So We Made This, What We Dream Of Then.




Saturday, June 27 has more blocks of film screenings throughout the day and takes place in two venues.

4:00pm - Block 4: Christmas At Aunt Betty's. Films include The Girl in the Basement, Christmas at Aunt Betty's.

11:00am - Block 3: Music Is Life. Films include Danse Macabre by Camille Saint-Saens, Jeff Hillard - Love Myself, RED BALLOON, "Carousel Girl", All Over Again, Kenny Salsa - The Rhythm of Life & Dance

1:00pm - Block 8: Family Drama. Films include Mandy's Voice, I SHOULD BE GOING, Sideblinded, Firewall, Run Wild, Superreal

Arthouse Productions has the Closing Awards Ceremony from 7:00pm to 10:00pm. Party with the stars and celebrate the winners.

45th Bi-Annual New Jersey Film Festival will Take Place September 4th through October 4th

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- The 45th Bi-Annual New Jersey Film Festival will be taking place between September 4 - October 4, 2026. As they have been doing the last few years, the festival will be presented as a hybrid with select in-person screenings at Rutgers University and most of the films available virtually via Video on Demand for 24 hours on their show date. The festival also be offering an Audio-Visual Concert featuring the bands Lawns and Hanging Coats as well as two FREE Filmmaking Workshops.
