
(MADISON, NJ) —- The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey (STNJ) presents Ken Ludwig's Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery, running July 11 through August 2, 2026 at the F. M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre on the campus of Drew University.
A wildly inventive comedy based on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's classic tale The Hound of the Baskervilles, Ludwig's adaptation follows the legendary detective Sherlock Holmes and his trusted companion Dr. Watson as they investigate a mysterious curse haunting the venerable Baskerville family. Filled with clues, disguises, red herrings, and theatrical surprises, this fast-paced adventure transforms one of literature's most beloved mysteries into a laugh-out-loud theatrical event.
The cast includes Christian Pedersen (NBC's This Is Us; Broadway: Ohio State Murders) as Sherlock Holmes and Brandon Jones as Dr. John Watson. Nicholas Wilder, David Foubert, and Janiah-Camile Francois (Broadway: McNEAL) round out the cast, portraying dozens of colorful characters throughout the course of the mystery.
The creative team is led by Artistic Director Brian B. Crowe. Scenic design is by Dick Block, costume design by Austin Blake Conlee, lighting design by Tony Galaska, sound design by Germán Martinez, fight direction by Doug West, and vocal coaching by Vivian Majkowski. Alison Cote serves as Production Stage Manager.

Single tickets for Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery begin at $45 for Preview performances and begin at $65 for regular performances. Prices range from $45 to $85. The Theatre offers a variety of other cost-saving opportunities, including $25 student tickets with a valid student ID and a limited number of Pay What You Will tickets for every performance on a first-come, first-serve basis. STNJ also has a $35 under 35 ticket option, which offers $35 tickets for patrons aged 35 and under, with valid ID. Other discounts are available including subscription discounts; and 10% discounts for members of Seniors, PBS/Thirteen, Active Military, Madison Loyalty Club card holders, and AAA members. STNJ also honors the Family First Discovery Pass for families receiving benefits through SNAP, WIC, or Work First New Jersey.
