"Through my martial arts school and writing, my mission is to help build stronger families and communities through discipline, character development, and personal growth."

Moving Meditation is a standalone mental-health-first book that invites people who are trying to get better but don’t know where to start — into the body through martial arts principles. Written for families, leaders, parents, and burned-out adults who need regulation, discipline, and community without clinical language or technical instruction.
Drawing on 30+ years in martial arts, competition, teaching, business, ownership, loss, COVID shutdowns, leadership fatigue, fatherhood, and rediscovered faith, this book shows how the mat retrains the nervous system for life, especially when identity fractures and responsibility increases.
Master Chris Malarkey is a martial arts instructor and author of Journey from White to Black. He is the owner and CEO of CMTKD in Belleville, NJ, where he teaches discipline, focus, and resilience through martial arts. Moving Meditation continues his work translating the lessons of the mat into everyday life.
