(WARETOWN, NJ) -- The outlaw spirit of classic Country music will ride into Albert Music Hall on Saturday, June 13, 2026, as the historic Waretown venue presents a special evening dedicated to the songs, stories, and the independent spirit of Outlaw Country.
Inspired by legendary artists such as Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard, and Willie Nelson, the show will feature six local acts performing throughout the evening. Audiences can expect a blend of honky-tonk rhythms, road-worn ballads, twangy Bakersfield-style sounds, and timeless favorites that helped define one of Country music’s most enduring movements.
The lineup includes The Pine Nuts, Dan Whitley, Pitch Pine, Basement Musicians, Thomas Ryan, and Granny & The Boys, with each act bringing its own interpretation of the Outlaw Country tradition. The performers represent a variety of local musicians paying tribute to the artists who helped define the Outlaw Country movement.
The evening celebrates a style of music known for its rebellious spirit and artistic independence. Outlaw Country artists rejected polished pop-country sounds, often producing their own records and favoring raw storytelling, honky-tonk grit, and songs drawn from real-life experiences. The movement helped shape modern Country music and still influences artists today.
Doors open at 5:00pm, with music beginning at 6:00pm. Admission is $6 for adults and $1 for children under 12. The venue is cash only. Parking is free and the Hall is wheelchair accessible. A 50/50 drawing will be held during the evening.
Guests can enjoy a variety of refreshments from the Hall’s Food Booth, including chili with cornbread, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, desserts, and hot and cold beverages. Vegan chik’n patties are also available upon request. The Gift Booth will be open as well, offering Albert Music Hall merchandise, books on local music and history, cowboy hats, and handcrafted items from local artisans.
As with every Saturday night show at Albert Music Hall, the Pickin’ Shed will be open before and during the event, providing musicians of all skill levels an opportunity to join informal jam sessions and share songs in a relaxed setting.
Since 1974, Albert Music Hall has been a gathering place for Bluegrass, Country, Folk, Americana, Old-Time, and Pinelands music. Operated by the Pinelands Cultural & Historical Preservation Society, the Hall continues its mission of preserving and promoting the rich musical traditions of New Jersey’s Pine Barrens.
Albert Music Hall is located at 131 Wells Mills Road (Route 532) in Waretown.
