Old York Cellars Launches the "MIDFIELD" Summer Celebration

It highlights NJ Wine Country at the Center of the Region's Biggest Summer Events

(RINGOES, NJ) -- For generations, the historic Old York Road connected travelers, merchants, diplomats and cultures on the journey between Philadelphia and New York. Long before it was a paved route, Old York Road began as an ancient network of Lenni Lenape trails, eventually forged by colonists into a critical "King's Highway". For generations, this high-stakes corridor carried the weight of the nation, acting as a vital strategic highway for General George Washington's troops during the American Revolution and serving as the premier overland stagecoach route connecting Philadelphia and New York. Inspired by that legacy, Old York Cellars continues that tradition of connection through wine, food, and welcoming hospitality.

Old York Cellars has launched its new 'MIDFIELD' summer campaign, leaning into the winery's literal and historical placement at the center of the region. Just as 18th-century stagecoaches like the 'Swift Sure' relied on Old York Road's halfway taverns and inns to rest and exchange horses, the winery is positioned as a modern-day oasis for travelers moving between the two massive host hubs of America's 250th anniversary celebrations and the 2026 World Cup. As part of the campaign, the winery debuted limited-edition themed wine labels under its What Exit Wines brand celebrating New Jersey as host of the World Cup finals.

Located on historic Old York Road in Ringoes, NJ, Hunterdon County, Old York Cellars sits along one of the original colonial routes connecting Philadelphia and New York more than 250 years ago. Today, the winery is located one hour from both MetLife Stadium in New Jersey and Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, host venues for World Cup matches in 2026.

"We're inviting guests to experience New Jersey wine country at the center of one of the most exciting periods in our region's history," said David Wolin, owner of Old York Cellars.

"The winery is uniquely positioned to celebrate the legacy of Old York Road and the historical connection to both America's 250th birthday and the world congregating in our region for the 2026 World Cup," shared Wolin. "Old York Road connected Philadelphia and New York centuries ago, and today we're welcoming guests from across the region to gather here for wine, food, music, and experiences in the vineyard."
