(HOLMDEL, NJ) -- Bell Theater at Bell Works presents We'll Meet Again from June 18-28, 2026. This is a patriotic and life-affirming story inspired by the life of Heinz "Henry" Stern, a true American original. This is a new musical by James R. Harris with Musical Arrangements by Mark Hayes. The production is directed by Daniel Kutner.
After a narrow escape from Nazi Germany in 1937, Henry's family immigrates to America and settles in Alabama. The family is welcomed with open arms to the small town of Opelika, where then 5-year-old Henry and his family find love and acceptance. For more than 60 years, he continues to search for other family members who survived the Holocaust.
A true story of the beauty and potential of the American spirit, this new musical incorporates several beloved Jewish songs as well as popular standards from the 1930s and 1940s, including “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy,” “I’ll Be Seeing You” and more.
