
(VINELAND, NJ) -- Cumberland Players presents The Last Five Years across two weekends from April 17-26, 2026. An emotionally powerful and intimate musical about two New Yorkers in their twenties who fall in and out of love over the course of five years.
The show’s unconventional structure consists of Cathy, the woman, telling her story backwards while Jamie, the man, tells his story chronologically; the two characters only meet once, at their wedding in the middle of the show.
The cast includes: Alexa Wilder (Cathy), and Zachary R. Taylor (Jamie).
Performances take place Friday and Saturday nights at 8:00pm; Sunday matinees at 2:00pm. Tickets are available for purchase online. The theater is located at 66 East Sherman Avenue in Vineland, New Jersey.

Jason Robert Brown's Drama Desk winner, The Last Five Years, has been translated into a handful of languages and was named one of TIME Magazine's ten best shows of 2001. A testament to the show's longevity, and spurred by the show's regional popularity, The Last Five Years enjoyed an Off-Broadway revival at Second Stage in 2013. A film adaptation was released in 2014, starring Anna Kendrick and Jeremy Jordan.
The Last Five Years is presented by special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI.
JASON ROBERT BROWN (Music, Lyrics, Orchestrations and Arrangements) has written some of the most highly acclaimed scores for the stage in the last three decades, including Songs for a New World , Parade (1999 Tony for Best Score, 2023 Tony for Best Revival), The Last Five Years (also a feature film), The Bridges of Madison County (Tonys for Best Score and Orchestration), Honeymoon In Vegas , 13 (also a Netflix film), Mr. Saturday Night (with lyrics by Amanda Green), The Connector , and Midnight In The Garden of Good and Evil. Upcoming: Less , written with Doug Wright and adapted from the novel by Andrew Sean Greer. As a solo artist, Jason has performed around the world - including his debut at Carnegie Hall in Autumn 2024 - and released several albums of his songs. His release, Jason Robert Brown & Stephen Sondheim Live In Concert (on Concord Theatricals Recordings), documents a 2019 all-star performance at New York's Town Hall. Jason lives in Nyack, NY with his wife, composer Georgia Stitt, and their two daughters.
Cumberland Players began in 1946 as the Little Theatre of Vineland. As an organization of volunteers, they pride ourselves on the ability to give back to the community through scholarship opportunities for high school seniors in their area. Their mission is to bring diverse, thought-provoking, and engaging community theatre to Vineland and beyond.
