(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- Art House Productions presents the first JC Fridays of 2026 on Friday, March 6th. Jersey City's premier quarterly arts festival, which is free and open to the public, will feature a diverse array of events, including visual art exhibitions, music performances, studio tours, and more, hosted at local businesses, galleries, studios, and arts organizations.
JC Fridays is expanding thanks to a significant grant from the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA) A.R.T. Program. Our first expansion using this grant funding is the Video Art Truck project featuring music videos, trailers, and digital artwork. Three LED screen trucks will move throughout Jersey City and display videos submitted by local creatives.
JC Fridays attendees are encouraged to explore multiple venues to discover new art and engage with the local arts scene. Complete event listings and an interactive map are available at www.jcfridays.com.

JC Fridays Highlighted Events – March 6, 2026
HISTORIC DOWNTOWN
DREAM: A Listening & Visual Installation Experience (722 Grand St, Jersey City, NJ) from 6:00pm - 8:00pm. Dream is an immersive listening and visual installation exploring the quiet inner lives of Black women who have learned to survive more than they were ever taught to feel. The experience blends everyday Brooklyn and Jersey City imagery with surreal, dreamlike visual scenes and original music to invite visitors into a space of softness, reflection, and emotional release.
Through sound, projected film, spoken monologue, and physical staging, Dream asks a simple but radical question: Can we fall in love with life again? Guests move through a sequence of environments that mirror the routines of daily responsibility — making coffee, commuting, caretaking — before entering a layered dream state where imagination, memory, and desire reawaken. At its core, Dream is about reclaiming inner joy. It honors the generations raised on strength, endurance, and self-sacrifice, while offering a moment to pause and reconnect with the self beneath the armor. The installation invites the community not just to watch or listen, but to feel, remember, and imagine new possibilities for softness, creativity, and personal freedom.
JOURNAL SQUARE
Beyond the Needle: The Art of the Tattooer (35 Journal Square Plaza, Jersey City, NJ 07306, Unit 815) from 2:00pm – 9:00pm. Step inside the mind of the tattooer and see what they create when they are not working on a human canvas and bringing their clients’ visions to life. Featuring 35 artists expressing their own artistic vision beyond the needle in mediums other than skin and ink.
WEST SIDE
Good Vibes in Color (80 Mallory Ave, Jersey City, NJ) from 10:00am – 2:00pm. Café Littles & Art for Everyone present “Good Vibes in Color," a group exhibition featuring diverse artists creating vibrant abstract works that celebrate joy, positivity, and the energy of color. Each piece invites viewers to feel inspired and uplifted.
THE HEIGHTS
I Walked Slowly, and Listened (260 Ogden Ave., Jersey City, NJ) from 6:00pm – 8:30:00pm. Ogden Studio presents I Walked Slowly, and Listened, new paintings and prints by Marie Toucet, on view at 260 Ogden Avenue in the Jersey City Heights. Drawn from daily walks through familiar streets and landscapes, the work transforms the everyday and encourages a more attentive connection to the places we inhabit.
GREENVILLE
For You, By You (128 Winfield Ave, Jersey City, NJ) from 4:00pm – 7:00pm. Visit Project Greenville as they host a collection of favorite pieces from local artists. No theme, just what these talented local artists wanted to share with our Greenville neighbors. Inspired by the variety and talent of local artists and how their work — different as it may be from one artist to the next — blends together beautifully to create the backdrop that reaches all corners of Jersey City; even the humble corner here in Greenville. Experience live music and enjoy light refreshments.
BERGEN-LAFAYETTE
Maternal Eternal (295 Johnston Ave, Jersey City, NJ) from 3:00pm – 6:00pm. This group exhibition explores motherhood as a transformative, creative, and regenerative experience. Motherhood is often framed solely as caregiving, leaving little room for the emotional complexity, identity shifts, and creative rebirth that accompany it. This exhibition offers space for mothers to reflect on who they were, who they are becoming, and how creativity can act as a tool for healing, connection, and self-expression. Presented in a public library setting, the exhibition is designed to be accessible, family-friendly, and reflective of the diverse experiences. During the exhibition visitors can participate in a unique element, where collaborative artwork is created by mothers and their children.
