World's Best Short Films come to Algonquin Arts on March 7th

(MANASQUAN, NJ) -- Algonquin Arts Theatre hosts World's Best Short Films presented by Asbury Shorts on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 8:00pm. Curated by Doug LeClaire, the event brings a fast-paced "Short Film Concert" screening featuring award-winning comedy, drama, and animation.

Asbury Shorts USA is New York City’s longest running non-competitive touring exhibition of globally honored short films. An Asbury Short Film Concert features a highly entertaining mix of comedy, drama, documentary and animated shorts  — previously honored at the world’s top film festivals.

Asbury Shorts Concerts have been presented at Sumer Stage in Central Park, The AERO Theatre in Santa Monica, Alamo Draft House in Dallas, Vero Beach Museum of Art in Florida, Charleston Music Hall in South Carolina, The Osprey Art Center in Nova Scotia, the DGA Theatre in Manhattan, Royal Festival Hall in London, the Leminske Theatre in Berlin and Guild Hall in East Hampton, Long Island to name just a few of the heralded venues where audiences have enjoyed these world-renowned films.

Tickets are $15 and available for purchase online. Algonquin Arts Theatre is located at 60 Abe Voorhees Avenue in Manasquan, New Jersey.

Algonquin Arts Theatre (AAT) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit center for performing arts, providing cultural enrichment and arts education for residents and visitors of Central New Jersey and the Jersey Shore through high-quality performances and programs in theatre, music, dance, and film.

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- The 45th Bi-Annual New Jersey Film Festival will be taking place between September 4 - October 4, 2026. As they have been doing the last few years, the festival will be presented as a hybrid with select in-person screenings at Rutgers University and most of the films available virtually via Video on Demand for 24 hours on their show date. The festival also be offering an Audio-Visual Concert featuring the bands Lawns and Hanging Coats as well as two FREE Filmmaking Workshops.
