Mayo Performing Arts Center Partners with True Tickets to Launch Secure Digital Ticketing Across Northern New Jersey's Premier Arts Venue

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center (MPAC), a premier destination for arts and entertainment in Northern New Jersey, has partnered with True Tickets, the secure digital ticketing service built for arts and cultural institutions and entertainment venues. Together, they have introduced mobile-first, contactless ticketing that enhances the patron experience while giving MPAC greater control and transparency around ticket sharing and audience engagement.

Since late November, audiences at MPAC have been receiving digital tickets via True Tickets’ secure mobile wallet, featuring password-less login and dynamic QR codes for seamless, fraud-resistant entry. Every delivery, transfer, and scan syncs directly with MPAC’s Tessitura CRM, providing real-time visibility into who actually attends events—not just who purchased the ticket.

This partnership equips MPAC with new tools to streamline entry, reduce unauthorized resale, and welcome all patrons with ease, even when tickets are shared. The result is a modern, secure ticketing journey that honors MPAC’s mission of accessibility and connection through the performing arts.

“Every decision we make at MPAC is centered around creating a welcoming, world-class experience for our patrons,” said Ed Kirchdoerffer, Chief Operating Officer, Mayo Performing Arts Center. “This partnership with True Tickets is a natural evolution of that commitment—giving our audiences a simpler, more secure way to enjoy the performances they love, while helping us build stronger, more meaningful connections with everyone who walks through our doors.”

“MPAC is an anchor of the arts in New Jersey and a beloved destination for artists and audiences alike,” said Ken Lesnik, Head of Business Development at True Tickets. “My wife and I catch shows there often because it’s part of the local rhythm for so many of us, and I’ve seen firsthand how special the experience is for the community. We’re proud to support their team with a smart, secure solution that elevates every aspect of the patron journey from purchase to performance.”

The rollout will apply to upcoming programming in MPAC’s 2025–2026 season and reflects a broader movement among mission-driven venues toward flexible, mobile-first systems that meet evolving patron expectations and empower deeper audience relationships.

True Tickets is a secure contactless digital ticketing service that puts venues and event organizers in control of their tickets and in communication with their true audience. To date, True Tickets has delivered 24.4 million digital tickets worth USD $1.7 billion and enabled 2.9 million secure shares across 100+ arts organizations worldwide. Available to Tessitura Network members, True Tickets' business-to-business solution seamlessly integrates with primary ticketing systems, empowering its partners to leverage the advantages of digital-native tickets to ensure extraordinary live experiences for their guests. With True Tickets, ticket issuers can set rules and track ticket custody, limit the excesses of the secondary market, and restore direct relationships between their audiences and the live events they love.

Mayo Performing Arts Center (MPAC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, presents a wide range of programs that entertain, enrich, and educate the diverse population of the region and enhance the economic vitality of Northern New Jersey. The 2025–2026 season is made possible, in part, by a grant from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts, as well as support received from the F.M. Kirby Foundation, The Blanche and Irving Laurie Foundation, and numerous corporations, foundations, and individuals. Mayo Performing Arts Center was named 2016 Outstanding Historic Theatre by the League of Historic American Theatres, and is ranked in the top 50 mid-sized performing arts centers by Pollstar Magazine.
