(FREEHOLD, NJ) -- The Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners honored BookBoundNJ on October 23, 2025 for a donation of more than 500 books to children's hospitals, teen shelters and other organizations during a Workshop Meeting.
A certificate recognizing the organization’s efforts was presented to two of the founders of BookBoundNJ, Emily Kim and Amanda Wong.
“BookBoundNJ is a youth-led nonprofit organization dedicated to providing underprivileged children with access to books,” said Commissioner Director Thomas A. Arnone. “Each book donated is specifically packed and curated for those receiving it. They also host local book drives and drop boxes for donations. On behalf of the Board, thank you for your inspiring work.”
“Reading is so important for the growth and empowerment of young people,” said Commissioner Erik Anderson, liaison to the Monmouth County Superintendent of Schools. “BookBoundNJ fills a vital need by bringing books to those without access, and we’re proud to support the students whose love of reading inspired them to start this effort and continue to lead it.”
