"Passing The Red Barn" by Barbara A. Friedman

(LITTLE SILVER, NJ) -- Gallery Jupiter presents "The Disappearing Landscape," a solo exhibition showcasing the works of Barbara A. Friedman from October 23 through November 22, 2025. Ms. Friedman's art emphasizes the importance of safeguarding vital landscapes and natural resources, with a particular focus on New Jersey's wetlands and farmland.

"During the pandemic, when driving was one of the few safe ways to explore, I became acutely aware of the rapid changes in the landscape around me. Farms, wetlands, and open spaces were disappearing under the guise of progress. In response, I began painting these places—an attempt to hold onto them a little longer.

"Ultimately, I want viewers to pause, to see the beauty and fragility of these environments, and to feel moved to advocate for their protection. In doing so, I hope these captured moments extend the quiet rewards of the natural landscape—offering both peace and joy," says Ms. Friedman.
