(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- ARTS 14C invites the public to enter Necropolis 14C, a haunted experience created by artists, a City of the Dead that's equal parts immersive art installation, performance experiment and Halloween spectacle. Running Friday, October 24 through Saturday, November 1, 2025, Necropolis 14C summons artists, performers, and audiences for eight nights and days of installations, live performance, and spine-tingling surprises - all in support of ARTS 14C's mission to champion artists and expand access to the arts.
Expect visual art, site-specific environments, pop-up performances, and moments that play with the power of fear - occasionally family-friendly, always hauntingly beautiful, and most importantly, fun as hell.
Necropolis 14C transforms 13 chambers over 30,000 square feet of gallery and studio space into a labyrinth of eerie beauty and unearthly imagination.
“There is a long history of artists - across all disciplines - venturing into the dark, unsettling corners of the human imagination. Necropolis 14C celebrates that fearless curiosity,” said Robinson Holloway, the CEO of ARTS 14C. “And each of the dozens of artists in our residency program loves Halloween!”

“We’ve curated an immersive journey of dark, light and humor,” added Holloway. “Visitors will explore a sprawling catacomb of rooms and corridors where anything might happen around the next corner. Our afternoon sessions are friendly for all ages, while the evenings are 21+ only, though we do have a couple of ‘Fraidy Cat nights for those who prefer a gentler thrill, a chance to experience the magic without too many jump scares.”
Opening night is Friday, October 24, and among the programs during Halloween week are an evening of scary stories from the Jersey City Writers and a night of music courtesy of the Ghost of Uncle Joe’s, produced by Dancing Tony and the Skeleton Crew.
On Saturday, November 1, the mood and programming at Necropolis 14C shifts away from horror and the macabre to a day of reflection and remembrance, fitting for All Souls Day or the Day of the Dead. Admission on that day is donation only - money or blood, which is the visitor's choice. For those selecting to give blood, ARTS 14C has partnered with New Jersey Blood Services for a blood drive in the Necropolis space - along with admission, each donor gets the satisfaction of saving up to three lives!
Necropolis 14C is a program of ARTS 14C, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit arts organization based in a 125,000 sq ft arts incubator and residency facility in the Powerhouse Arts District of downtown Jersey City.
