(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- The Morristown Festival of Books is thrilled to welcome Jake Tapper, the lead Washington, D.C., anchor and chief correspondent for CNN and bestselling author, as the featured guest at this year's exciting free Closing Event on Saturday, October 11, 2025. Tapper will appear in conversation with Maggie Haberman of The New York Times to discuss his powerful new investigative nonfiction, Race Against Terror, which explores true crime and terrorism.
This year, Tapper and Haberman are welcomed back to headline the Closing Event after a standing-room only session at the 2023 Festival. This special event will take place on Saturday, October 11th at the Mayo Performing Arts Center (MPAC), located at 100 South Street, Morristown, NJ. Seating is free and open to the public on a first-come basis, no tickets required. The event takes place at 5:00pm.
In Race Against Terror, Tapper brings readers inside one of the most significant yet little-known terrorism cases in American history. It follows federal prosecutors Dave Bitkower and Shreve Ariail as they traverse the globe in pursuit of an Al Qaeda killer. Through meticulous reporting, Tapper captures the unprecedented legal and investigative challenges of the case, while shedding light on the human cost of the War on Terror.
Pre-signed copies of Race Against Terror will be available for purchase throughout the day, along with pre-signed copies of Confidence Man by Maggie Haberman, at the Book Tent on the grounds of the historic Vail Mansion and in the lobby of MPAC.
