(JACKSON, NJ) -- Six Flags Entertainment Corporation, the world's largest regional theme park company and North America’s Halloween leader, is raising the stakes this spooky season. On October 1, 2025, Six Flags introduced Come Out and Play, an original, nearly 8-minute horror short created by acclaimed genre filmmakers. The film expands the fear factor of Halloween by offering fans a chilling taste of the nightmares waiting at participating Six Flags parks — including Dorney Park's HAUNT and Six Flags Great Adventure's Fright Fest presented by SNICKERS®, both already underway.

In Come Out and Play, viewers meet Smiley, a shadowy figure on the hunt for a new friend — and a new face. Blending arthouse horror with spine-tingling suspense, the film immerses audiences in the same atmosphere of dread, scares, and surprises that come alive nightly inside the parks’ haunted mazes, scare zones, and thrill rides in the dark.

“This isn’t just advertising — it’s branded entertainment designed by horror lovers, for horror lovers,” said Harris Wilkinson, Chief Creative Officer at TMA, Six Flags’ creative agency partner and co-director of the film. “By shooting entirely within Six Flags parks, we’re giving people an authentic glimpse of the terror that awaits. And we anchored it with one simple invitation: Come Out and Play.”

“Halloween is a huge cultural moment that keeps growing,” added Christian Dieckmann, Chief Commercial Officer at Six Flags. “Just as we are serious about fun year-round, we are serious about fear when it comes to Halloween. This film raises the bar, making Six Flags the Halloween destination.”

Locally, the release amplifies the already-popular events at Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom and Six Flags Great Adventure. “HAUNT and Fright Fest are already fall traditions,” said Ryan Eldredge, Regional Public Relations Manager. “This film keeps fans engaged at home — and inspires them to step inside the parks, where the nightmares become reality.”
