Led by Artistic Director Kenia C. Rosete—a Mexican-American dancer, choreographer, educator, and performance producer — KRDance draws from her roots in the borderlands of Tijuana, Mexico, and San Diego, California to create moments of connection across distance. It operates bi-coastally, with a presence in Southern California and the Jersey City/New York City metro area.

They are driven by the following core values:

* Fostering embodied awareness through structured movement and dance that gets people in their bodies

* Bringing cultural and historical insight into our shared movement practice in Salsa, Argentine Tango and Contemporary dances

* Using dance as a tool to get community members to connect

KRDance creates highly collaborative original dance works grounded in both social and contemporary dance forms. The work centers a rigorous exploration of proximity and touch as a proxy for immigrant themes, and affirms the value of diversity as strength.

KRDance unites the community in the joy of movement through Salsa, Argentine Tango and Contemporary dance classes. Classes include beginner, open level, and advanced options at libraries, community centers, and private studios. See upcoming classes
