(HO-HO-KUS, NJ) -- The First Flight Theatre Company will hold auditions for Night of the Living Dead by Lori Allen Ohm from the film by George Romero and John Russo at the Hermitage on Saturday, August 30, 2025. Auditions take place between noon and 3:30pm.
“This play is an immersive version of the movie,” explained Director L. Wielkotz.
If interested in auditioning please email [email protected] with an hour that works for you on Saturday, August 30, 2025, between 12 noon and 3:30pm. First Flight will email you back a specific 10-minute audition slot. Character sides are available online.
For the audition Actors should prepare a one-to-two-minute memorized monologue and bring a photo and resume. They will also be asked to read from the script.
Actors cast will be given a $50 stipend to help with transportation expenses. They are also looking for 5 Zombie Extras needed for 2 rehearsals and the October 25 performance to be given $10 stipends.
The Hermitage is located at 335 North Franklin Turnpike in Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey.
REHEARSALS DATES: Saturdays and Sundays, noon - 4:00pm, September 27 & 28, October 4 – 19 & Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, October 22 - 24 from 6:00pm - 9:00pm at the Hermitage.
ONE PERFORMANCE: Saturday, October 25, 2025 at the Hermitage, showtime is 7:00pm.
Characters to Cast – Johnny, Barbara, Ben, Tom, Harry, Helen, Karen, Judy, Chief, McClellan, Zombies, deputies, and reporters. Some parts will be doubled. Ages - 20's and up. (For the part of Karen, they are looking for teens or younger.)
